The Fauquier Sheriff’s Office offers young people the opportunity to experience public safety first hand through the Junior Sheriff’s Academy (JSA). Cadets will learn the basic functions of a working law enforcement agency, as well as have a chance to learn about a careers in public safety. They will have the opportunity to meet members of the Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office as well as other public safety agencies. They will have exposure to the Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Response unit (SERT), Drone Operations, School Resource Officers, Crime Scene Investigation, Bike Unit, K9 Unit, Gun Safety, Warrenton Police Department Motor Unit, Helicopter, and Group Field Activities. JSA transforms the traditional role of the law enforcement officer into one of mentor and friend while encouraging youth to be partners in building a safer community.

JSA is open to young people between the ages of 13 and 15 at the time of the academy June 25-27, 2019.  Spaces in the academy is limited & cadet selection will be based on the first 40 completed applications received and approved.  Application requirements include parental permission and medical release forms. The Junior Sheriff’s Academy will be held at Taylor Middle School 350 E Shirley Ave, Warrenton, VA 20186.  Cadets must have their own transportation to and from the academy and arrive by 8:30am and be picked up at 4:00pm each day. Once JSA Coordinators receive the application and it is approved, a confirmation letter with additional information will be sent to the email provided on the application. Confirmation letters will be sent on May 15, 2019.


Tải game bắn cá•  Cadets must be a resident of Fauquier County and be between the ages of 13 and 15 at the time of the academy. Those attending must be able to participate in physical activity, such as running and jumping, but accommodations will be made for participants with special needs. 

•  Cadets must be able to attend the entire academy

•  Cadets must be in good standing with no serious discipline or criminal issues.

•  Once the academy class of 40 is set, the enrollment process will be closed and all remaining applications received will be placed on a waiting list. If a vacancies occur they will be filled in the order the applications were received.
