C.M. Crockett Park 

C.M. Crockett Park is the county's largest lakeside park offering a wide range of recreational opportunities including: fishing, seasonal boat rentals and concessions, boat launch facilities, picnicking, picnic shelters, volleyball, horseshoes, a beginner & advanced orienteering course, a cross-country trail for hiking, jogging, winter skiing, and a nature trail through 1-mile of woods.

Germantown Lake
CURRENT LIMIT ON LARGEMOUTH BASS: Five bass per day total.

Boat Rentals
Jon-boats with trolling motors or oars, pedal-boats, and canoes available to rent for various lengths of time. Photo ID required. For boat rental prices click on Forms and Fees from links on the left.

Fishing Licenses
State license required for all persons age 16 or older who are fishing. Licenses can be purchased at the concession stand.


Orienteering Courses
The park has a beginner and advanced course which is ideal for scout groups. Maps and information is available at the park office. The beginner course has seven stations with few obstacles. Click the following links for more information:

Environmental Education Programs
The park offers environmental education programs for schools and scout groups. All programs comply with the Virginia Standards of Learning (SOL's). Each program is $3 per activity per student and must be scheduled in advance by calling the park office. (Programs list)

Sanctuary: A Commemorative Grove
The Sanctuary is a gallery of indigenous trees such as Beeches, Maples, and Oaks for those individuals and/or groups who would like to plant a tree to commemorate a special event or person. Donated plants, trees or amenities will be marked with signs identifying the individual or event they commemorate as well as acknowledgment to the appropriate persons.
