The playground and Prospector Pavilion at Monroe Park

Monroe Park is located on a 14 acre lot donated by Pat and Thelma Monroe and features The Gold Mining Camp Museum, including the gold and gem mining sluice, ADA accessible playground, sports fields, horseshoe pits, sand volleyball court, a quarter-mile paved ADA accessible trail, and the Prospector Pavilion.

The Gold Mining Camp Museum and Monroe Park Office are now open by appointment Monday through Friday from 10 am to 4 pm. Please call 540-422-8170 to set up an appointment.  

Face coverings are required to enter the museum. Everyone entering must provide contact information and must acknowledge they do not have COVID-19 symptoms and have not had known exposure to a COVID-19 case in the prior 14 days. 

We are able to sell items from the gift shop as long as supplies are on hand.  We are only accepting credit card payments at this time.

The free panning demonstrations will start up again once Park and Recreation facilities reopen.  We apologize for any inconvenience.

Tải game bắn cá The Friends of Monroe Park (FOMP) was created 20 years ago to support the efforts of the Fauquier County Government and Fauquier County Parks and Recreation in building and developing Monroe Park. Initially, FOMP raised over $10,000 towards the construction of the park and to this day continues fundraising to promote the development of additional park facilities. FOMP co-sponsors two annual events at the Park - the Goldvein Jubilee in September and the Spring Egg Hunt.

Tải game bắn cá An association of prospectors from northern Virginia, the club meets at the park the first Saturday of month, April to October. The meetings are open to the public. The NVGP has long been a big supporter of the park. For more information about the club, contact the Monroe Park office.
