The Criminal Investigation Division (CID) is responsible for investigating major crimes and serious misdemeanor cases.
Tải game bắn cáThe Division consists of three primary investigating functions: Major Crimes, Violent Crimes and Special Operations.
Major Crimes detectives are responsible for investigating sex offenses, crimes against children, burglary, larceny, arson, financial and property crimes, as well as death investigations.
Violent Crimes detectives are responsible for investigating homicides, attempted homicides, and robbery, as well as other violent felonies.
Tải game bắn cáSpecial Operations detectives specialize in narcotic investigations and gang-related offenses. They also assist with major criminal investigations as needed. This section is designed to be a specialized proactive unit to suppress ongoing criminal activity.

CID also has an assigned Crime Analyst and a Criminal Investigation Associate. They are responsible for administrative duties, case management, statistics, research, and criminal analysis.
CID works closely with the Department of Social Services, Warrenton Police Department, and the Fauquier County Commonwealth’s Attorneys Office, as well as our Federal partners, to successfully investigate and prosecute cases.
